I began showing Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in 1978. By line breeding among their progeny, then careful outcrossing, I have now owned or bred 28 Champions, many Group and Show award and Royal Show and Specialty winners.
My first two bitches were Inverglen bred. I researched their lines and picked up on their grand dams, Ch Bryrose Scarlet Seal Imp UK and Ch Bryrose Aotearoa Imp UK, who both had Crisdig breeding. Their chosen mate was Aus NZ Ch Matsy Peter Pan Imp UK.
My two most successful dogs, both in the show ring and in the whelping box, were Ch Carnwath Classical Black, and Ch Carnwath Nightime Crime, both multiple In Group and In Show award winners at Speciality shows.
They bred on brilliantly, and their names feature behind many successful dogs for other Kennels. In 2002 my first Havanese joined us, Ch Torza Diamonds Galore, and in 2007 Torza White Linen arrived. Lilly titled quickly, and has since been joined by Ch Heronsbridge Kauto Relka from the United Kingdom, and Ch Famosa Carnwath Brock, from New Zealand. My latest import is the sable bitch, Versailles Rubia Bella Heronsbridge, from the U.K. Together with Rhumderry Lady Diosa and Hashki Victory Down Undert, hese dogs will make up my Foundation stock. These joyful little dogs have won me over. Meet them in my Havanese Gallery.
